Amazing findings

Today I went to a junkyard looking for parts for my FC. I found an FC but it didnt have anything I needed, right before I was leaving I saw that it had an intercooler attatched to a bar or pipe that went across the bay. It had four bolts holding it so I took it out. Its almost 2ft long and 5in tall. I whant to know if this is the factory intercooler or not and how much its probably worth. I have no pictures but its in good condition.

Its stock, and next to worthless.
EDIT: DOH! I meant stock oil cooler. Should have been 4 nuts instead of bolts, though.

if its 2 feet long its definatly not the factory intercooler.......the factory one was about 12x10 or so and was mounted on top of the motor.

Sounds like the oil cooler man. The dimensions you gave and the location seem to match.

wow genius of me to miss that. i'll bet you thats the condensor and it was sitting up where it wasn't supposed to be.

edit: heheh yah could be the oil cooler doh :p

although the former nihon radiator made radiators and condensors, an oil cooler is practically the same thing in essence. actually i'm haivng a brain fart and cant recall the size of the facotry condenser right now...

Same size as the stock radiator, only about 1/3 of the thickness.

it's ok, i went intercooler hunting the other day, you would be surprised how many condensers and oil coolers look like intercoolers. i was lucky to find a good condition saab 9000 FMIC, you can also find alot of Volvo intercoolers, they are FMIC and have big ports but they are kind of tough to rig up to sit in front of a FC but it is possible.

the stock intercoolers are pretty much worthless, you can get maybe $10-30 on ebay or on the forums for them but thats about it because everyone switches over to FMICs.
