Am i suppose to keep up with...

On the way back from Dad's yesterday... cruising down US 19, i see a pretty nice 90 + 300 Z. we stopped at a light and i asked the obvious "what year is it" He said 93, asked the same about mine, and i said "86" he just nodded his head. I quickly asked him what he had done, "intake, header, full exhaust that's it.

He didnt even ask me what i had done (musta thought i was too slow)

well, we took off slow in first (neither one of us knew if the other wanted to run..) than just as i hear him GUN it in first i do the same, jut as he's shifting into second i push redline just a little more and than shift.

neck and neck all thru 2nd, into third and i begin to pull ever so slightly

by the time we were at the top of third I was alittle over a car in front of this guy, than he quickly slowed down and turned behind me.

I've got nothing major done to my car. Intake, exhaust (no header YET) Borla Cat Back system, no porting, dont have emissions and still have 5th and 6 port sleeves.

Am i suppose to be able to keep up with N/A 300z's?

I totally surprised my self. it was great

N/a 300's are not too fast. They should not be too much trouble for an N/a FC with some mods

Yeah, my car's been running really good lately... or maybe my motor is finally broken in and i've started useing the power.. yeah, that's it

You gotta remember, i drove around on 205,000 with blown coolant seals and bad oil control rings before this motor. i was embarresed to go over 4000 with my old motor (SMOKED LIKE HELL! lol)

i want to get my header and port my intake Mani's

(trying to get as much power from my n/a... before porting..)

300zxs? NA'd they're heavy... they're slow... 220hp, i think, but the 3400lbs of weight makes them PIGS

Hell, i own a 3600lb 240hp subaru svx... i dont ever race with it because it's a lost cause. High 16's perhaps?
