did the car have any problems before hand?

I don't know about any other members of this forum but every time one of my rexes sat for a couple of days without running they would give me hell to start up again. They usually flooded out. Do you know how to check/solve flood issues?

Resurfacing the flywheel shouldn't be a big issue...it certainly wouldn't account for the car dying repeatedly. What you need to do is crawl back under your car and check each individual wire to make sure everything is grounded propperly, and hooked up to the correct terminals. Also check to make sure your fuel lines were not damaged during the repair.

Check these out and get back with us.

Check the brake booster & EGR vacuum hoses.
They may be connected but leaking near the MAF sensor.

Wild guess here, but make sure your exhaust is not clogged, or something. Maybe somebody is playing a CRUEL joke on you, and place a rug or something thru the catback (I guees you remove the catalytic at least in order to remove the tranny).

i'm guessing in the process of reaching bolts you knocked loose some vacuum lines or took a hose off at one end and forgot to put it back etc.

There is a number of things that you would have had to remove to do the clutch job. I would check to make sure all of the stuff you removed or disconnected is put back together. And it's a long shot; but maybe you need to readjust the clutch pedal.

The p/s computer will beep if the speedo isn't connected. Read the thread at the link above.

Make sure your speedo is plugged up on the back, their clamps break easy, but they are a pain in the *** to get to, you will have to lay down on the floor, with your legs out the door, and manuever your hand through all the b.s.
