Alternator Bolt Size

I am reinstalling my alternator and I guess I mixed it up with another long bolt, since the thread isnt catching at all. I just decided to buy another bolt from the store to replace it, but before I do that, I need to know the width, length, thread. I would like to get the size soon before the store closes.
