alternator alternatives!

alternator alternatives!

i'm looking for the s6 alternator, but it costs to much to send to australia! and here they want too much for it anyway!

So i checked out other mazdas mitsus. Turns out the BP engine found in the MX-6 turbo, mazda familia, ford tx3 are very very similar to ours, the only noticable difference being the connector, but SHOULD mount perfectly!

anyone tried this before?

What amperage do those put out? Also, miatas and capris are B-series engines too...

Also, have you seen Silverrotos posts on selling FD alternators?

Trust me from experience, the charging system on the BPs sucks. Your choices are 65 and 90 amp I beleieve, and the 90 amp is a rare one. Funny, because I remember a time when BP owners started asking what kind of charging system our cars use.
