Alt. Pulley Removal?!

Just got my Madzatrix dual alternator pulley and trying to install it, but I can't get the nut off the shaft for the pulley. I've tried everything I could think of short of taking an impact gun to it, which is next, or taking the whole thing apart ( that I don't want to do ). The shaft the nut is on just keeps spinning, anyone have any tips getting the pulley off?

2nd that.

You have to kind of sneak up on the thing and blast it with the impact wrench, it comes right off.

Lay the alternator on the floor, pulley up.

Step on one side of the pulley with your foot to hold it in place.

Impact wrench on the nut.

Done.

You missed a hose that goes to the alt.!

Spray some carb cleaner around and see where it makes it stumble.

That's the plan for tomorrow, it got to dark and frustrating to continue on today. Just sucks, was so looking forward to spending my memorial weekend cruising around, not busting my knees leaning over my car.
