Question Also getting headers (B-day)

I wil also be getting headers at the end of this month, as a birthday gift from my father.. i have a couple of questions about headers and would like some insight from the guys that have them

I currently have this set up : cone intake... stock port engine...stock exhaust manifold...bonez race pipe... Borla mufflers. I've had the same set up for about 2 years, and has never failed me, sounds great and it was cheap... (i was cheap than too).. anyway. I would like to get the racing beat headers with the midpipe leading back to my borla mufflers. How much HP/TQ gain will i see over my setup that i have now. how much louder is it going to be (I LIKE LOUD) and are headers really worth it?

and on a side note, i was thinking about upgrading the injetors on my N/A.. nothing major, just maybe get some Turbo injectors and put them in the secondarys. Will that help with HP/TQ at all? let me know what you guys think..

-Markus. Thanks.

Don't waste your time with bigger injectors. Until you do MAJOR porting it is completely unnecessary.

The stock ECU runs way rich in the upper RPM range - we're talking A/F ratios around 12:1 to 11:1 above 6500 RPMs.

Yea, like he said dont put in larger injectors. If anything Get a S-AFC and lean out your top end fuel mixture. And yes a header (just one, no "s" ) is worth it IMO. It will make your car considerably louder, and a slight bit raspier. You may not feel that big of a difference with the header ( I didnt) basically because its just a smooth increase over the entire powerband.

The stock "box" collector is built to detune & quiet the sharp pulses of the rotary's exhaust.

The header will be way more efficient, and along with that louder.
You will need a silencer (AKA pre-silencer or resonator) in place of the cat.

A collected header into a single silencer into your catback works great.
The sound & performance is like true dual, just not stereo.

I have pics & sound links in my sig below.
