I just bought this 90 gtu that had a failing engine for about 300 and the seller said that everything from the trannny back was t2. Now i've never owned a t2 so i would like to know if there is a way to verify this (i.e. Visible differences, etc.)
and if it were true, what else would i need for a t2 swap. (ecu, etc.)
Any and all help is greatly appriciated as I would like to do a swap if possible.

the tranny of a t2 has a removable bell housing and is vary beefy looking, the diff will be a lsd unit and have good size cooling fins, the driveshaft will be about the same diamiter the whole way through and i would like to add that this is vary well covered on this and other forums, i dont like to rag on people but search is your friend( please dont hate me for asking you to search) also teamfc3s.org has a great thread with picturs in the non turbo forum explaining this vary well

 

The TII tranny has a fill port and check port for the fluid. It also has two drain holes. The N/A tranny has one hole for check and fill and one drain hole.
