All TII have that amplificator from factory? where is it?
That friend of mine (Volker) is gonna equip his 87 TII with new sound. he wants to know if his car has stock amplificator. I read somewhere that they have 100w amp.
do all models have it? where is it?
what about that s5 TII Im trying to get, does it have?

My 87 TII had 3 amps. One under the glove box (on the right side of the car since mine is a left hand USA drive... don't know what side of the car you sit on!). The one under the glove box powered the front two speakers. Each rear speaker had its own amp built into the box with the speaker.
I bypassed all of them and used a cheap aftermarket head unit with "built in" amps (they all have this now). Sounded the same or better and it would play CDs

Previous owner of my GXL threw out the old speakers and replaced them with some good aftermarkets, so I didn't have the rears, but I did rip out the front amp under the glovebox and all the wires and plugs.
Right now my stereo isn't using any of the stock wiring, I pretty much bypassed it all. I'm using a relay to run power from the battery to the headunit, and a good thick speaker wire for all four corners.

The front speakers are controlled by a single amp unit that is housed in the same plastic "box" as the passenger front speaker.
The rear speakers have an amp "circuit board" each located in the speaker shock tower.

i already have a difrent amp for the door speakers but its only pulling sound from th front speakers instead of the factory channel because i have already spent enuff time trying to figure out ware witch wire goes to and the stock amp for the door speakers is in between a rock and a hard place
