88SE = Weight when bought 2450( approx)
Alum hood = any ideas on weight vs heavy one?
No PS/No AP/No A/C/ No ACV = I assume all of these together weighted around 70 to 80 lbs.
small lawnmower battery in rear = 12 lbs lighter, but added 5 lbs in wires
Shelby turbo electric fan VS belt driven fan 8-12 hp?
Homemade intake with velocity camber and 1500 CFM K&N = maybe 10-15 hp?
Homemade sealed cold air box = maybe 5 hp more?
Cold air duct through fish eye = 1-2 hp?
Tornando = I would say at least 10HP. It gave 60 more miles per tank of gas
75 HP NOS = 75 HP?
Ports removed = maybe 8-10 HP?
8.8 Accel race wires = 1-3 HP?
NGK 8s plugs = 10 HP?
Higher rate fuel pump and filter= 5hp?
RB race header/ 3" SS straight exhaust = I have heard these give 60 HP?
How much does the entire stock exhaust weight VS the new setup?
Synthetics in trans and rear end = I have heard 10HP increase?
Headlight motors= 10lbs each
Everything has been removed from the inside of the car= 200 lbs
( bumpers, towhooks, etc)= atleast 45lbs

I figure the car weights about 2108 without knowing how much lighter the new exhaust is compared to the stock one.
I also don’t know how much power the accessories took to drive them.

How much do you guys think it weights now?
How much power do you think it puts out at the crank?

Ummm...I think most of your hp estimates are about 60-75% overstated. About.

i'm going to have to agree here spark plug wires don't give you power and niether do synthetics in the diff and tranny.

to hazard a guess would be suicide what you need to do if you are serious is get on a weigh station or get corner weighted, and get on a dyno. besides you never said n/a or turbo but i'm pretty sure it's n/a

Well, you can see some hp at the wheels from a syn. change. They just did testing on this on Hotrod mag tv. They saw like 10hp at the wheels...but that was on a 500hp motor. Most of you estimates seem like the magic Summit Racing Catalog...+20hp with maf, +30 with exhaust, +10 with ignition....if that were the case you'd see 500hp mustangs all over the place with every bolt on summit offers.
