it looks to me like there is no airflow to the to-mount IC.
at least not with that bad-*** looking forward facing hood scoop anyway.

Someone should just take some bits o tape and some chunks of some fabric or something onto their hood and have someone video tape it while driving around (maybe standing out of the sunroof looking down onto the hood)...that'll settle this once and for all...

Those are pressure lines showing surface pressure. High speed flow along the surface causes low pressure, hence the lifting lines in the areas of highest speed flow. The scoop DOES work to some extent, I know this because I have found bugs mashed against my intercooler. Where the air goes when it exits the intercooler is another matter, and don't forget the heat soak when moving slowly or sitting because the intercooler is strapped to the engine.
