Alright, I took it out. Wow, what a groovy sound! I am surprised how loud it is. It sounds like another little engine running under the hood, just slightly out of sync with the big one. What is cool about it is it makes no noise at idle and during most parking lot maneuvers so nobody is gonna notice. I am going to try to shape the sound with an attachment of sorts, I am hoping for a high-pitched whistle or whine......

I removed that huge muffler and hose tangle. I haven't ran it yet to check the sound but I am like you Skypilot, checking every ounce. I know I gained some weight with my new bumper that I made, but it is all for increased cooling and ram air 
so I'll take it.
The tar under the carpet weighs about 20lbs and the steel hood is about 25lbs heavier than the aluminum one. Front bumper reinforcement is about 10 and brake ducts (worthless) are a couple. There is a ton of stuff in an FC that you can ditch.

Hardcore autoXer, Fasthe Dan Yu, dies earlier to day from self inflicted starvation during a packed event...kills 85 spectators.
"Right around turn #2," explains Farmer Joe who saw the incident from a nearby tractor, "His eyes just seemed to glaze over and it was like a brain hunting zombie was controling him."
Just after the second turn in the closed course event, Dan Yu drove wildly out of track and into the gawking on-lookers. Reports claim Dan Yu was screaming "The RX7Club knows about you!!! And You!!!" at each of his victoms. Shortly after he began his rampage through the crowd he apparently lost consciousness and rammed and destroyed 4 high performance Honda Civics.
Upon investigation of the incident police found that Dan Yu had been slowly trying to lose as much weight as possible in order to compete his late Mazda RX7 at it's full potential. For the last 5 years he's been obsessing more and more over the weight of his car as that was the only thing he could do for free. First it started with the AC and such and then progressed to valve stem caps. After a year of racing he started wearing lighter clothes and pulling all of the interior out of the car except the driver's seat. Another year and he shaved his body and only wore underwear to events. This last year was the year that did him in. Since last august Dan Yu had been eating eating only one cup of yogurt and one apple a day.
