plug the tubes, remove the pump , and the bracket and belt. thats the basic removal,., after that there is the ACV, air muffller, Egr, Split air tube. alot of stuff that has to do with the air pump.

The air pump feeds the ACV.
ACV is the Air Control Valve
EGR is the exhaust gas recuirculation
Split air tube feeds air from the ACV into the ca.

ACV blocked off.

I removed the air pump, bracket, and obviously the belt. Then removed the 3 nuts holding the acv. Blocked off the little metal vacuum lines. Split air pipe should also be blocked off since its now useless. EGR in not directly connected but it is also now useless. 2 nuts and one blocked off vacuum line.

remember you do not want to remove the airpump if you are running with cats. The stock cats will overheat and melt without the air pump.

They forgot to tell you that with the airpump off, the water pump belt will now slip at high rpms and you'll need to remedy this slight problem.
