if you remove it you also should remove the ACV valve and block it off with a plate.

youre gonna be fucked without your ports

Id advise gettin them to open, if you wanna spend a little money get the racing beat presilencer for just under $200 and itll open your ports no problem.

The people that created emission requirements want us to breath clear!

Glad your in that part of the country. The air in CA is finally starting to get real nice again, thanks to emmisions laws and manditory bi-annual testing. Maybe thats why more than 1/3 of the other states are starting to adopt CA smog policies.

Here's an idea, instead of violating fed and possibly state law, work with the system... free flow cat, working air pumps, upgraded exhaust, port and polish the intake, tune the car up, get power and clean air....

Just shaking my head at statements like RotorDemonGXL's!

Well Icemark,

Besides Cali, Massachusetts has one of the toughest emmisions to pass. I do have a free flow cat from Bonez, and I mind as well put a race pipe in there. It's not so much the concept of emissions that bothers me, but the people conducting it. So ***** THE GOD DAMN PEOPLE WHO CONDUCT EMMISIONS. I failed by something rediculous by .02(measurement) of HydroCarbons. I filled up on their gas, and procedded to take a drive. Two days later, I took my car up on the highway and proceeded to push out any lingering chemical in my exhaust system doing about 115mph just for the gay bastard at this un-named gas station. Went back with a warm car and this time I failed by 600 something hydro-carbons. WTF is up with that? I used THEIR gas... so 60 days later I got my sticker at IRA Mazda/Lexus. Lexus gave me the sticker after I got new tires... I was happy I wasn't carring a rejection sticker around anymore which I never should've been carrying around in the first place. Bunch of Commie bastards if you ask me..
