got a question. i have an 88 na engine in my 87. i have removed the air pump. does this affect the 6 port actuation. i have racing beat cat replacement pipe and silencer with the return pipe running back to the actuators.

thanks

You should fine. 89 was the first year that the airpump was required for 6-port actuation.

In the '88, the sixports are opened by the backpressure from the cat. Since you've removed that, you probably aren't opening the sixports.

There is sufficient back pressure in the RB front pipe and resonator to actuate the ports on 86-88 cars.(assuming of course that actuators are free).
