Air Intake Temp sensor movement

Is it a bad idea in terms of performance to move it?

It does seem fine where it is, but wondering if moving it to near the cone would result in better / more accurate readings.

I can see how this could be bad. Mostly because what happens on one side of the throttle plates is usually very different from stuff on the other side.

So, thoughts?

On the stock ECU I wouldn't do it. the IAT correction table in the ECU is designed for that particular location. If you go standalone you could relocate from the throttlebody area to somewhere near the front of the car.
