Air Fuel Gauge

Hey I installed my air fuel gauge today. But I noticed out O2 sensor has only one line. Therefore I was unable to install both lines from the Air Fuel gauge onto the O2 line. However it still works, but only when i give the car some gas. So I was wondering how did everyone install their Air/Fuel ratio (Autometer) gauge.. Any methods to solder the other line? or any tricks on this?

I think there are 3 wires. red, black and purple. red is to a power source. black is ground and purple goes to the O2 sensor.

Did you install the AF by taking the wires off the sensor or off the ECU ? In any case, you just need the signal wire. You can get +12V and GR from anywhere in the car...

A good indication that the AF is working is that when you WOT, it should read all the leds/lines/...

But my air/fuel gauge won't read at idle.. only when i step on the throttle.. I'm running on a bonez race pipe.. would that affect the readings?
