Hey

I do not know how much more HP you gain...i think it's better for high revs, but i think it puts 26% more air into the combustion chamber.

I switch between and K&N and a HKS at the dragstrip and picked up 2 tenths of a sec. after many passes on each. I think it was in the mass air senser. the HKS smooths the air

I like K&N. I tried out the HKS Super Megaflow, but it didn't seem any better and the filter got dirty pretty fast. The K&N lasts for 10 years.

If you are still running the air pump on your engine, note that the HKS Super Megaflow will hook right up to it, but a universal cone filter will not, and you must get another smaller (crankcase vent) filter for the air pump. Also, if you have a Series 4 RX-7, you will need an adapter (available from HKS, etc.) for a universal cone filter.

I don't have any experience with the Apexi filters.

is this the foam HKS one we're talking about? or do they have a newer cone on available...

i'd go with the K&N and save a few bucks...or for just over $100 US you can get a nice Bonez or Apexi cone filter.
