Air Control Valve

My ACV is messed up and makes a loud noise when i slam on the juice. i've read about guys taking it off but i want to know what it does and will it hurt my seven if i take it off my car is a daily driver not a fulblown racecar. Where can i get the blockoff plate for it.
Thanks in advance.

Mazda trix sales them, but you need to remove (hollow) your cat before you remove this, or else it will clog, It helps to make the engine bay a little more spacy, and cleans things up, it is really simple to remove, its just three 10mm nuts, and the hose from the air pumpl which you should remove at the same time.

Grab some 3-5mm thick aluminium plate and make one. Take the ACV off and use it to make a template. Don't forget you use a new gasket or some sealant or you'll have a vac leak.
