needs a recharge, or your heater door is stuck open (a/c cooled air is blown over heater ocre and heated even though a/c is fine).
If it needs a rechrgae, something is worng. Expect big bills to replace corrded lines, filter/dryer, etc. These things don't just leak. Carefully inspect your lines and connections, look for oil marks on them.
Expect a recharge to leak out as well.

LOL, dude, yeah, caught me on that one. I'm hungry, and I didn't get any action last night b/c the girl was too tired.
AND she teased me about giving oral gratification, and then I never got it.
Bitter?
"Yup, bit him too"
Oh well, I can forgive, and I didn;t bitch. Just a bit of a let down is all. She's cool, and I love her.
Sometimes I do take this too seriously.
Oh well. That you in the pic Rico05? Pretty funny none-the-less.

It COULD need a recharge. BUT mine did the same thing. with LOTS of help from HAILERS
I pinned it down to an electrical problem --the AC clucth was not engaging! VERY simple rely replacement and everything was fine from then on...
You can seearch for my thread on it .... if it's still here

Hey Sean, I am right there with ya! "If you give me a back rub, I promise I will do you a favor!!" Yeah right. Anyway, if the system is blowing, then I am pretty sure it is just a lack of refrigerant!! Check the a/c clutch wiring though. Make sure it is plugged in!!

To check the if you need a regas, turn the A/C on and you watch the sight glass (infront of the radiator, little hole in plastic cover). If you see bubbles you need a regas.
The biggest problem is likely to be the type of refrigerant currently in the car. A lot of cars this age still have the now banned R12 in them. It's illegal to refill the system with R12 (if you can even find it), so it must be replaced with a more modern CFC-free refrigerant, usually R22. The problem is this stuff is not compatible with the mineral oil in the compressor. All the old oil must be flushed out and replaced with synthetic oil. Ring around a few automotive A/C places and get quotes.
Just rechecked the original question. When you say blowing hot air all the time, do you mean even with the A/C off? Might be a Logicon problem. Whole different kettle of fish!

How do 30+ year old chevy's and ford's still have the original coolant in them?
And most N.A. cars are now running R134a since R22 and R12 is soon to be illegal.
Most cars running R12 originally were meant to run for 30+ years or more.

if you decide to pull the a/c, on my buddies tii, i had to remove the bolts holding the radiator and just tilt it towards the motor. of course if you don't have an e-fan, you'll probably have to either watch out for trhe stock one or remove it to. take all of it out if you do.

Just wondering what might be the problem that my A/C would blow hot air all the time? Needs a recharge, or what?

J-Rat...the compressor won't engage if the system pressure is too low. You MAY need a recharge.
RICO...I have a leak between the line that connects to the condensor and the compressor. I've replaced the o-ring twice. One of the flanges must be cracked or corroded. Do you have the evaporator / line to the compressor. If so i'll buy it from you.
Todd
PS. I changed my system to R134 myself. Took me most of a day to flush everything and replace o-rings. Didn't cost much though....about $50.00 for everything I think.

How much would it cost me to change my 91 vert to 134a? I don't really know how to/feel like doing it myself, so I would have a mechanic do it. Are we talkin big bucks, or just a few bills?
