Air Conditioning/Cruise Control

Ok, I'm new to the RX-7 Land....

Why does Mazda put the controls in for the AC and Cruise, make them look like they would work but nothing there??

How hard is it to put in the AC and Cruise systems now???

With a convertible, I'm going to need it this summer

Can't speak for A/C, but cruise control is pretty trivial to install.

If you can get it, score the cruise control out of a turbo '7. They're a fully electronic actuator, and seem to be smoother than the NA vacuum actuator.
