Air Conditioning

Hey guys,

I noticed today, my A/C isn't working. The system doesn't even kick on--- so it's not a recharge issue. When you press the A/C button, nothing happens. It used to kick the rpm's way down for a second, and you could hear it running. But now, nothing.

Any ideas?

if it isnt charged the compressor wont kick in !!! You have a pressure valve up on the condenser also that might be bad . That happened to me.

My problem was corroded connectors at the receiver/ drier, the thing near the coolant resorvoir. The compressor wouldn't turn cause of it. Just cleaned em up to fix it.

How do you know the system isnt empty? If you have no freon in the system the compressor wont turn on. Check that first. If thats fine then check the electrical connections. If you determine the connections are good then its the compressor.
