AHHRRRRRRRRRRG!!! No Spark!
This isn't the lounge, so I'll save you most of the bitching.
After pooring $500 into this POS project, it doesn't have any spark. The first time I ever tried to turn the car over, it started up just fine, until I released the clutch and it died in nutral. Couldn't start it back up after that, thought ok, I just flooded it. Two months later after I get it all put together, now it has no spark. WTF would cause this? Oh and now some wire out of no where is disconnected and I can find where the hell it goes.
The wire is tapped to the green temp wire and has an fat orange coating around it and the brittle faded white end that has a wire going around it to support a clamp?. Anyone have any clues?
This sucks so bad, its like a $1500 money pit.

You're not getting many replies because your description isn't very good. Maybe tell us what you did, what's wrong, what you've tested, what car you've got, what you've replaced, and we could maybe do a bit more for you.

its an 87 Turbo 2. If it was in limp mode, I'd get spark. I've tested all the coils and none work. They get power to them, but do not spark. I don't know how both could go out at the same time.
Why would the car die in neutral when I released the clutch?
I've checked all the fuses, gone throught the FSM, used a multimeter on the wires. I think the engine is majorly flooded by now. (Tried to start many times)
The thing is ghetto wired, I think the previous owner replaced the engine.
It sucks, the more I get into it, the more parts I need, like the thing that sits next to the intercooler that the two wires and the two hoses plug into, and my turbo to intercooler elbow has a hole in it. I'm sick of puting money into a bucket. If the coil/ignitor packs don't work I'm just going to sell it.

Have someone crank the car while you a pull a boot off a coil (like L1.) Don't lift it more than an inch or two from the coil (although I did this a few weekends ago and my hand got zapped when it was over a foot away from the exposed coil. ) You should hear a lot of crackling.
I find it hard to believe that you have 2 dead coil on the same car. Not calling you a liar or anything like that, but just wondering if your test methods have been effective/conclusive... Just want to help you get the car running.

Uh, if I may...
Pull the two EGI fuses, pull all of the spark plugs, crank for a 10 count, then wait 20 seconds, then crank for another 10 count. Then you won't pound on your starter too much.
Remember to take the plugs and put a lighter or a torch to them before re-installing them. You want them to be free of gasoline.

Walken, first check your spark plugs. Pull them out and check them and make sure the boots are clean and plugged in the right order.
The spark system only consist of the switch, cas, the two coils, and spark plugs.
The only thing the clutch has to do with the ignition system is the switch that prevents you from cranking when the clutch is not depressed.
