Well, gasket is fine. The comp test can't happen till later. Checked for loose wires, and all were good. Listened again, and all I got was THUMP-THUMP-THUMP-pause-THUMP..etc. Sounds like a blown seal.

thump-thump-pause? How does that work? If you lose 1 seal you lose two rotor faces, pardon me if I'm wrong but are you sure you're hearing right? Sounds to me like you may have something stuck.

It sounds like stuck/failing primary injectors. I had similar problems with my 'vert recently. Pull the upper intake manifold off and swap your Primary injectors with the Secondaries. If car starts and idles, replace the injectors in question.

I smell no gas though. Also, according to me A/F gauge, there has been no change.

It's an autometer, that says it all! Well, it sounds odd that it's only pausing once after two wooshes, are the two wooshes similar in sound?

Actually, it sounds like 3 (weird right?) and they sound evenly spaced and the same volume.

I didn't smell gas with mine either and I'm not sure if it would effect the A/F meter reading. It shouldn't take more than an hour to swap the injectors and once you've done it you can rule them out if that's not it. Aside from the hour of your time it doesn't cost you a thing.

Unless you are careless and rip the o-rings on your injectors!

Too bad all my tools are at my mom's house...and she kicked me out. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. Yet another headache with my car, even when it won't run.

Ohhh, is that an insult now!? You should've seen when skippy caught my hand on fire. I was cleaning spark plugs and asked him to burn the excess carb cleaner off the plugs, so he lights the damn things while they are still in my hand. Was quite the show. Anyway, that's definatly off topic. If you're hearing two whooshes and a pause, listen closer and try to see if it's just not a quieter whoosh, perhaps a side seal is sticking, ATF it and see, can't hurt! Btw, bob13bt, two words: CAPS LOCK

I purchased a corolla, and am now in the process of fixing my seven up to sell it.. Then save for a project TII.. I love rotaries.. and always plan on owning one or saving for one

Good luck with whatever you do man

Actually, we hate you. We want you to get the car running so you don't come on the forum and bug us with your inane questions. 3,000 posts and you don't even know enough to do a compression test. BAD HONDA BOY!

Hey Rico I have the same problem with my TII and I tried all sorts of things. Then after reading all these posts I finally decided to do a comp. test. After 2 weeks of maybe, probobly and what if; I am very happy that my compression checked out fine with 3 even bounces over 95PSI on both rotors. I guess my point is - is that I almost lost faith and I was convinced my motor was dead, but to my surprise shes okay inside anyways. So don't loose faith. The amount of money you'll spend on another "MONEY PIT", you could put a rebuild in for less! Thats just my $0.02

Aren't parts stores open after 5 P.M. in Texas?

I know if my car was acting up like this, I would be out in the garage trying to fix it instead of sitting on my *** in front of a computer. Oh, you don't have your tools..... then go get your tools!!!! Don't you want your car to run again?

I am just burnt out.
my 2 cars that the engine went out they ran on one rotor just dont have the punch of 2 on a side note remeber the rotary engine will kep developing speed till it goes boom on the other side
