Aftermarket wiring harness?

i will try to make this as to the point as possible, not sure if this is the forum i should post in but here it is. Coming from pretty much hondas, we had such companys as ry-wire, chase bays, etc etc for a clean replacemebt for your stock harness, generally with options you could add in or take out if in most cases they were to be eliminated.

Is there any company out there like that for the rx7 specifically anything for the 2nd gen?

I got a new Wiring harness..
It came Free with my New Haltech ECU!
Seriously though you "may" be able to get a NEW harness Still if you can find a good Dealer Guy(like Ray Crowe@Malloy Mazda..google that,he is popular)
Some guys will use "newish Connectors" and make their own..
Personally,I hated the old Engine harness and went to Aftermarket Ecu anyways,so that cut all that "crap" out!

Actually, I have been toying around with such an idea for a few years now as it fits with my Opti-Stock Modification Philosophy. On my 20B FC, I have implemted a similar idea in that all underhood devices that tie into the Haltech ECU are on individual subharnesses with Delphi Metripack connectors. Got the idea after seeing how the D585 coils came off the donor truck. Since then, Metripack has been my connector system of choice for all modifications due to its inexpensive cost, availability and ease of implementing with common wiring tools. Plus, there's the added benefit that if you run out of a certain one, they can be found at the junkyard on almost any GM vehicle.

The main hurdle to making reproduction/modded harnesses is finding all of the connectors/associated terminals and doing so at a reasonable cost. Some, such as the injector connectors, are easy to track down due to their universality. My injector connectors actually were sourced from a AE9x Corolla (primaries) and EG Civic (secondaries). On the flipside, ones such as those used by Haltech on the Platinum Sport ECUs are rather pricey despite being able to get the connector shells for free as a sample from the manufacturer, TE Connectivity. The terminals themselves are where the expense comes from as they average around $0.55 each from the notable electronics distributors like Mouser and it requires 60 of them. In comparison, Delphi Metripack terminals are usually about $0.06 each.

Then there are others like FEM-01 & FEM-02 (links Front to Emission Harness) that are difficult because the manufacturer doesn't have any offices or distributors in North America. And then there are the real bastard ones such as the stock Oil Pressure Sender connector that I've not been able to identify the manufacturer yet. Not too many of them, but it still takes time to pin each one down.

At the moment, de-mystifying each harness is on my to-do list after finishing my 20B build as I originally wanted to have a plug & play conversion harness. As a few connectors have proven difficult to locate, my Haltech harness has required some modification here & there to accommodate. When I have more time to dedicate to cracking the OE stuff, I'll do so. Gonna be awhile though. In the meantime, contacting C. Ludwig would be the best option I know of in regard to getting a harness modded with the options you want.

Ill just call Rywire and have him build a custom one, he has fd3s harnesses for sell.....custom mil-spec is only $1000. Was just wondering if there were other options. I know stand alones come with their own harnesses etc etc but as im going the rtek route i was hoping to just find someone that made simplified harnesses. Really just being lazy and not wanting to separate the harness and rewrap it all back up, but that is the other option.
