We're not mind readers. Please ask a proper question.

I don't think it was that hard to figure out. Hes asking which we recommend. Mechanical is just fine, but if you have some extra cash go with electronic for its peak/replay functions.

If you're a cheap SOB like me - Pep Boys - Sunpro mechanical - ~$15

quick response, accurate, smooth action.

The plastic mount cost me more than the gauge.

ok well I guess I could have been clearer, it was late and my brain was going to sleep. anyways you guys answered my question. I wasent sure that there were two types of boost gauges.... anyways the reason I'm asking, my car came with an aftermarket boost gauge and I'm trying to figure out if it's hooked up. I pretty much bought the car and the engine as a set, car was being towed behind the truck engine in the back of the truck. I've got the engine back in the car now...so I guess if it's an electronic boost gauge it's probably still hooked up, and if it's mechanical I'll have to figure out how to hook it back up.

Do you see a vacuum hose going to the boost gauge?

well the gauge is installed on the steering collum in front of the dash cluster. and the loom that comes out of the back runs underneeth the trim. I'm going to pull the cluster out in a bit and see if I can figure out where the loom runs.

Boost gauges are related to barometers.
They are affected by weather & altitude.
