Question Aftermarket battery box,tray, holdown?

Hi folks,
So my battery tray has finally turned to dust, and my battery is now just sliding around. It seems that in-tact battery trays are somewhat hard to come by in the parts section, and a replacement tray + holddown hardware will be ~$100 from MazdaTrix.

I was curious to know if anyone has already installed some sort of aftermarket or universal part to retain the battery, in lieu of the stock components?

As a temporary fix, I got a generic battery hold down from Autozone/Advanced Auto (?) that has a strap and a pair of J bolts then just cut down the extra threaded stock so it doesn't look terrible.

I've got the tray and hold down bracket if you what to simply return to a stock set up. And you can pick up in Pasadena during the week.

The bolts and top piece are nothing fancy, so you don't have to buy those new. The tray is pricey, but then again that's the last time you'll ever buy it!

I'll sell you a brand new factory battery tray for half that price............if I still have it. Gotta look around the garage tomorrow. I know I've got a good used one at least.

If you're broke get 2 gigantic zip ties. the ones that are a 1/2 wide. I pass inspection with them.

Buy the tray used for 25-40 bucks. Go to walmart or autozone and buy a generic hold down hardware kit for about $5-10 more. You might have to cut the bolts in the kit because they tend to be taller than we need and would hit the hood.
