after market LSD question... Help!!

hey guys, im thinking of buying a cusco one way LSD... and im getting into drifting, and i was told that if u r a beginner it is easier to control drifts because the one way has less torque distribution than a 1.5 or 2 way LSD.... is this true? or will buying this Lsd be the eqivilent to the stock piece...??

thanks alot for ur help

Mm...actually i would think that a 1.5 way would be great all-around. A 2 way is kinda harsh for a beginner but it does lock up easier for drifting.

2way would be the way to go, 1.5 is more for just grip driving, doesnt lock up when deaccelating, and ya it comes with stock lsd if u have t2, but not sure on the na,

I think there's a lot of misinformation about clutch type LSD's. I always hear people say not to use 2 ways on the street, that a 1.5 is better blah blah blah.
the truth is a 1 way, 1.5 way and 2 way are going to be equally harsh on the street if their lockup characteristics are the same. no matter what, they will all pop, moan, grind and make noise on low speed turns if you are applying any power to them, the only difference is that a 1 way will not lock up at all on decelleration, a 1.5 will partially lockup on decel, and a 2way will lock up as much on decel as it does on acceleration. just keep that in mind when buying one.
Personally, if the car is used on the street at all i'd look into getting a torsen diff instead. You might think its fun and cool to make all that noise in parkinglots for about a year or so, but it will wear thin. and you will get tired of it.

2 way for drifting. Get it new, and by the time you break it in you will be use to the way it locks up. Nothing else works as well.

Yep, just ended...
$222...I'm disappointed guys!

BTW, the stock clutch-type LSD is amazingly a 2-way unit.

post the link? I want to laugh at the bid history.

Can you rebuild the stock clutch-type to have the same locking characteristics as a KAAZ?
