after FIXING vac and exhaust leak my car will not start!

Alright let me start off with a brief history. My car has a s4 TII motor running on the stock ecu but bassically bareblock. I took off my turbo and manifold to fix an exhaust leak and also took off my intake manifolds to get at the aftermarket exhaust manifold. I re-siliconed the intake manifolds back together and put a new gasket on the exhaust manifold. Well I tried to start it and it wouldnt go. I checked over everything and my afm wasnt connected, so I reconnected it. I try again with starting fluid...no luck. It is so close to starting sometimes it even takes off and runs for a half a second. I have a fuel pump kill switch and I have been playing with that, so its not flooded. I check the afm and tps sensors. I have looked that vaccumm hoses are connected. What could it be? I removed my spark plugs and blew out fuel multiple times. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks,
Chris

you sure its not flooded?? ..could your spark plugs be soaked in fuel? mine starts after lots of cranking...idles like hell but thats because i have vac leak.....if you havent yet, try the unflooding procedure. i know you have a kill switch but it wouldnt hurt to try it anyways..

Disconnect the AFM from the airbox and hold the flapper inside the AFM open with your fingers. Have someone try to start the car...

You need 4 things to get a rotary running. Air, fuel, spark and compression. Go down the list. If you have all four, she'll run. She may run like ****, but she'll run.

errr... When I messed with my intake manifold a year ago I had to crank the car for about a minute before it got "unflooded" enough to fire. It took me a few days and I got fed up and started cranking it till no end and it started right up.

Tried everything listed above. No luck. I can disconnect the afm and turn off the fuel pump and get it to run for a few seconds on starter fluid. I am quite certain that there are no MAJOR vac leaks. Could my afm be bad? My next step is to try and pull start it. Should I try that?

Well I got it running, and well. I still dont know what it was but it must have just been flooded. One time it just sputtered a bit more and started up.
