Question After cruising at 3000rpm, engine stalls when let off the revs and clutch in

hey guys, just got another little problem maybe someone has an idea about what might be causing it.

The past 2 nights I have been going along the freeway in 5th gear around 3000rpm - when I get on the offramp and as I'm rolling to a stop, I pop the clutch in, revs drop and the motor just stalls on me.

Popped the clutch back up to restart... died again.. another clutch start and it seems okay... just weird. I have only been on the freeway twice in the last little while, and its happened both times.. so something to do with holding 3000rpm then letting it drop to idle kills it.

Microtech Digi series 1 pro. 4x550 cc injectors (wired in parallel, so 2x1100cc injectors according to the ecu (wasnt my decision)). 13b. map and tps. S2 elec dizzy.

There are no vac leaks... however I did just a few days ago find that my brake booster line has been leaking for ages now, and fixed that.

Temp seems normal on the dash (1/4 - 1/3 up), oil pressure fine too(mechanical meter)..

any ideas would be tops!

cheers,

Paul.

Sounds like you need to adjust your throttle dashpot, or check it to make sure it doesnt let the throttle slam shut when you let off the gas

I use the BAC valve as a dashpot on my MegaSquirted S5 N/A.

Hmm but in normal driving when I lift off throttle and let it slam shut, the engine doesn't care and idles fine... only after having held 3000rpm for a while it seems to do this..

any more ideas?

cheers

Yeh, it does the same thing with me when I disable the dashpot on mine :p Give it a shot, It is really easy to adjust the dashpot on our cars.

in the past little while i have fixed some vac leaks which have been around for over a year! i was even dynotuned with these leaks. maybe that has something to do with it.

also found my TPS wiring is dodgy as ! wriggle the loom and tps goes from 0 to 99% :S

ill keep on truckin... 7heaven soon
