Question AFM trim pot?

I was lookin' in the engine bay & saw a trim pot inbetween the afm & pressure sensor on my '88 SE N/A(Passenger side front wheel well). The trim pot has markings for <L- R>. Mine has what looks like hot glue covering what should be an adjustment screw. Can someone explain the function of this? I would assume from it's location that it is an adjustment to calibrate the AFM signal to the ECU for the Lean or Rich Fuel mixture setting? I guess I should buy a shop manual. I was just curious as I'm slowly learning what & where everything is. I figured I would ask instead of the usual - Turn it & see what happens thing!! LOL

All it controls is your idle mixture, and nothing else. There is ABSOLUTELY NO reason to mess with that pot unless you have replaced your motor.
