I am not sure if the air pump and air control valve are emissions equipment, but what ever they are, what do they do and are they needed? The previous owner has removed these components and the charcoal canister. So I will end with a question that brought me on tonight. What parts/components make up the emissions system and secondary air injection and are they needed for daily driving reliabilty?
