AFM appears to be bad

Ok, so I finally tested the AFM on my '87 TII, and the results are not that great.
The intake temp sensor thinks it's about 32 degrees outside (reading about 5k ohms) whan it's about 100 degrees out here. Also when fully closed, the AFM is outputting about 120ohms when according to the FSM it should be 200-600ohms. So is my AFM shot, and if so can it be repaired? I really don't want to pay $875.46 from MazdaTrix for one.

Any help is much appreciated.

just get a used one of ebay ...

you might go through 2 or 3 before you get a good one, but it'll be a HELL of a lot cheaper than a brand new unit ..

i've never heard of anyone repairing one, but im sure its possible ..

if you do it, make a write up .. lol

Thats great and all, but there aren't many junk yards around, and I haven't seen any RX-7s in any of them.

The flapper seems to be slightly out of spec, but it seems the temp sensor on the AFM is completely shot. Any idea if the intake temp sensor were blocked off if it would keep from flooding? The engine seems to flood every time it is started because of the intake temp tensor.

Ordered 929 AFM

Alright, I just ordered a 929 AFM from ebay 'cause I'm short on cash right now and an RX-7 AFM would have been upwards of $120 while this one was $35 shipped. So long as it works, I'm alright with crummy mileage or whatever will happen, so long as it will run.
