Afm

im tryin to make my own cold air intake
do i need to keep my afm and will that affect air flow negatively,
or if there is an alternative
if some1 has already gone over this, sorry but i couldnt find it
either some info or a link to the thread i couldnt find

Yes. The AFM is the most important input to the stock fuel injection system. The car will not run without it.

i knew it was probly needed but if it effects performance or if this is away around it
it just looks like it wouldnt let air flow very well

No way around it uness you get a translator or a standalone. If you are asking if you can remove the AFM, I would guess that the translator and standalone may be a bit much for you at the moment.

The AFM meters the air coming into the motor, and provides the fuel interlock for the fuel pump. Without the AFM, the car will not run.
