hi, i bought an aeromotive FPR and ive been looking on my engine bay for 3 days to see where i can mount it but i haven't come up with the right place, it just seems that there is almost not space to mount it, i still have the tmic so that is a little problem but im not changing to fmic yet so i have to find a place to mount my fpr because my car is down till i mount it. any one has any pics or any suggestion of where can i mount it????

I mounted mine on the drivers shock tower. Most people mount them on the firewall or hang them off the fuel rails themselves. You can also make a small bracket to mount to the front of the throttle body.

hey aaron, how did u connect the braided line at the end of the rubber fuel line?

 

i just bend the mounting tab 90* and mount it right above the oil filter on the pinch rail.

problem mounting it where Aaron did is most front mount intercoolers use that area for the intake piping.

 

its nice to keep it off the throttle body or intake, this way you can remove either and not disturb the fuel system, also easier to test for leaks without having to put everything back together

going through this right now changing injectors, at least the fuel lines dont have to be messed with

sorry, that was sarcasm.
some people like power steering, some people like A/C and some people don't like hacking up their intercooler piping to make something fit.
a simple suggestion from someone who has fitted even the most cramped engine bays for a universal location and seems i'm not the only one.

i also prefer the shortest flex fuel hoses possible, call it preventative maintenance.

For safety though it would be nice to have all the fuel system hoses/components in front of the clutch. I didn't think of that when I initially did the fuel system, neither did Mazda with their filter location.

 

True, but when you build your own intercooler piping, it not only is quite a bit shorter than those terrible kits the aftermarket companies sell, but it doesn't interfere with the FPR.

 

its not an Aeromotive FPR, but its mounted on the firewall where that little lip is. Its held in place by 3M double sided tape at the moment, but going to drill holes soon.
