i have a chance to buy an ems for 300$ near new. i have looked but i cant find an answer, will it work on my 87 n/a????? i looked on the site and it says the harness is generic.

 

What is the part number? It may be the universal model. If it is, you can definitely run it. But you better know what you're doing as far as wiring and tuning. There's not much of a point in running a standalone on a mildly modded n/a car though.
