Mechanically they are the same. The 10th AE were all monochromatic white ie: the moldings, body and even wheels. The interior is black leather. It then had little things like special 10th AE floormats, bra, steering wheel etc. to set it apart from the other cars. You could also get a headlight washer (which I don't believe was available on other cars, could be wrong though) My alarm has glass breakage sensors as well, which I haven't seen in other cars.

They are popular because there were only 1500 made, making it somewhat rare. Though it is not the rarest as there were fewer 91GTUs's and if you count color, only 500 CYM 3rd gens.

carx7 pretty much covered it. Personally, I don't think mine is any better than any other 88T2, but it is different.

You just feel more guilty for driving the hell out of it because it is more rare but **** it. It's a TII and I drive it like it was built to be driven. Now if you would all take a glance down to my help with idle cam assembly thread... if you have a digital cam, help a guy out please!

Was there a regular T2 made in '88, or were all of them 10th Anniversarys?

There was only one real problem with the 10th AE (as far as I am concerned)... it only came in White, and I will NEVER own a white car! I need colour.

I believe the number of 93 CYM was 350..not 500.
"THEY" say whoever they is i dont know but ayway "THEY say that since the AE is 14 years old there is estimated there is only 400 something left after all the ones that have been toatled or what have you. Of course if you apply this theory to all the other rare rx7s then there are just as few of them around as well.

I can't see how changing the color of a 10th anniversary would be cool. It's the original. It shouldn't be changed. I know i wouldn't do it to mine...just my opinion.

the main thing about the AE is that they're a collectable, as there are fewer than 400 left.

they've got a REALLY nice leather interior, as well as all the options (power windows/locks/cruise/etc)
they've also got the monochromatic paint job, same color body mouldings, etc, which makes them a very nice looking car.
