Anyone know what came with the AEs (like EVERYTHING) that was different from the TII? I'm trying to figure out what I need to get.

terrh- he meant MONO SHIFTER. The TII has a separate boot cover and shifter **** as oppose to AE's that have a 1 piece shift ****/ boot cover. Very nice!.. it reminds me of the porsche 944s. ohhh and yes that are leather.

They also had a bigger stereo from what I understand...

Your best bet is to search the net for RX-7 10th AE I was going to buy one and I searched for info about them. There is some good sites about them.

the speakers in the rear were slightly tilted a little more to create a more ambient music environment, dont know if you were wanting to know that though lol

I have a 10th A/E and a question I have never asked is: What are the sliver mesh screens? One is in the rear view mirror unit that houses the sunroof controls and the other 2 are in the garment hangers on either side. I am to assume that they are to do with the diming of the rear view mirror but I am not sure

Thanks

Yeah, I was stripping down a jumked out 10th AE last week to get the sunroof out for my car and saw those. I assumed they were motion sensors for the alarm. Pretty crazy stuff.

And nothing is ever mentioned about floor mats. The mention EVERY add-on but not floor mats .. Hmm odd

Don't forget the leather-wrapped 10th Anniversary steering wheel. Also, I just found out the other day that the shift boot is made out of aligator leather. That's ******* sweet. Here's another good website with info on it:

http://www.2ndgenrx7.freeservers.com/10th.html

They even have the original floor mats for sale (for $250!)

The mats look like this:

Well I have the badges like that and the floor mats, and I guess someone took the badges off of the mats because there is a rotor shaped spot on the floor mats without carpet on it.

Does anyone have a pic of these floor mats. I don't think they made floor mats myself. I think its a myth. Someone may be making after market ones.. But I don't think the cars came with them.

You probably can't get them anymore... Not sure though.

There was one selling on ebay this month. I don't recall how much it was going for though.

I would imagine if you have two in good condion you could probably get at least $40 for the pair.

I don't think that the mats came with the car, I think that you had to buy them seperately like the bra. Not all 10th AE's came with the bra, the original purchaser had to buy it seperately. Kind of like if you get a bike rack or bug deflector put on your car by the dealer.

i know this is a really old thread but i just stumbled upon it...
that AE on eBay was probably bought by me, judging from the date of Sonic's post. the AE also came with a nifty 10th AE baseball cap and a his/her matching t-shirts. atleast , that's what i got from the original owner when i bought it from him(also gave me the bra, an blue cover that says RX7 on it). the floormats had the outline of the 10th AE badge but it was gone i guess it ripped out over time. it appeared to be "glued" on and not stitched in

yea the only thing missing on my 10AE are the leather seats and the wheels
i dont complian about the wheels becuause there FD wheels but i kinda dissapointed about the seats.

and the color for the 10AE is called crystal white

aslo the steering wheel has the three spoke stearing wheel compared to the 2 spoke one on the TII. and a GTU style spoiler. wich im looking for one if anyone dosent need theres.

Its so depressing to go to that http://www.2ndgenrx7.freeservers.com/10th.html and see the pictures of the new, shiny 10AE's. I go out and look at the shape of mine that i have now and it just boggles the mind to think that someone could have bought that car brand new and didn't take care of it like the car deserved. Sad.
