Advice on porting

OK guys, I am planning to tear down my engine and do a rebuild. While I'm at it, I am interested in a street porting, but would prefer to do it myself. Engine is '87 N/A. Does anyone know of a place that sells instructions, templates, or other info to help determine how to do porting? Appreciate any help out there!!
