That's funny, I did a search and found a ton of info for the tps adjustment. Search for GASP "tps adjustment".

TPS probably won't be in the picture at 4 grand anyway, depending on how fast you're getting to 4K....

Clogged cats are famous for a 4K wall- do you have the stock exhaust system on the car? Are you eating lots of gas?

BTW- thanks red neck

If you are seach function challanged here are the "cliffs Notes"

1) Make sure the car is warmed up fully!
2) Find the TPS and shove your multi-meter probes into the two prongs that arent attached to an orange colored wire...(i believe, it's been a while) black and red i think....maybe?
do this on the ecu side of the connector
3) turn on your multimeter and turn the adjuster screw until it sits at 1k ohms.....

If this doesn't work then remove the TPS and check to see if there are large gaps in the range of motion...If so try spraying it with WD40 and set it again, this is a temp fix if it is going bad......

good luck

Now as per the FSM, at least for S5's, It says:

"Caution do not adjust the throttle sensors. There is throttle posistion auto-adjust system in the engine control unit"

Whats that supposed to mean? It's on page f2-81 of the 89-91 FSM.

That's the high range. You will still be setting the low range.
