adjusting tow
first off, i have searched a lot already. i always search a lot before i post, that is why my post count is so low. i can't find anything on this topic.
here goes; i just swapped from a power to manual rack and the steering is towed in a lot. i was getting ready to adjust it, but i was going to see what everyone had to say about different settings that they have tried. i was planning on setting it at about 1/16" in since that is what i do on all of my cars, but i was hoping to see if anyone could give me a little direction on what effect this is going to have. i want it to still handle well, but be stable at highway speeds. the car is a sunday driver, but i still take it on the highway quite a bit to wind it out. i know there are plenty of people with dedicated track ***** out there who have tried a setting or two other than stock, so let me know what you think.

I have always heard out in front give a little oversteer and in gives better low-speed cornering and understeer. I will just stick with my gut then and go 1/16" in. Thanks.

I just got my first performance alignment with a manual rack car. Ended up with 1/16" in total front, 1/16" in total rear. I have to pay attention when cruising on the freeway, but it is by no means unmanageable. I believe I have some bumpsteer due to the lowered suspension, so that may also be a contributor. Next time, I will be trying 0" in the front to see if I can improve my front turn-in grip on track. I think you'll be happy with 1/16 in.

i'm running 0 toe all the way around, and i like it, it turns in like whoa! its still stable on the freeway too, although its not like stock
i never tried toe out on an FC, zero in the front is good.
in the rear with stock bushings and zero toe it feels great as long as you're on the gas in the turn, if you're not (people drive sloooooooow here) then adding a little toe will add stability.
