adjusting fuel pressure question.

I have a guage inside my car that is inline right after the filter. It was showing around 60psi after getting the walbro in and stock reg. Got an adjustable reg and hooked it up, started the engine with no vac applied to reg and adjusted to around 43psi and hooked the vac up and the gauge on the reg shows 43 and the guage inside the car shows like 80psi. Is that how it should be or am I doing something wrong?

Reg is after injectors and the other guage is before. Is it basically just showing a before pressure and after pressure since its running then?

If you tee'd the fuel pressure GAUGE, into the fuel line anywhere after the fuel filter, your reading the rail pressure. Period. Heck, anywhere after the fuel outlet on the pump and your reading the fuel pressure in the fuel rail.

The FPR is the LAST thing in the fuel rails.

You guys really confuse me....a lot. I guess it's because I don't have a aftermarket regulator. All I know is that the fuel pressure one sees from a gauge located after the fuel filter, IS the pressure in the fuel rails i.e. what the pressure is for the fuel injectors.

I guess I need to buy a aftermarket regulator to figure out what is going on. Have fun.

Well it sounds like everyone is adjusting with engine off and fuel pump running, but with the haltech, there is no connector to keep it running like with the check connector. Just want to be running the right pressure. I don't think I've heard of anyone saying they have two guages, one before and one after the injectors though so I might be alone.

Also this is far from a stock setup so thats why I said 43.
