Adjust TPS woes

For some unknown reason - after adjusting my TPS, I got even more vacuum leak. I don't understand what is going on. I figured it was about the right time to do so, and I wanted to take a break from figuring out where the hell my vacuum leak is. So I go through all the steps, a minor turn of the screw and boom 1K ohm. I start up the car to see if it idled a little nicer, and I don't know how - but my vacuum leak increased from 16 to 14. Strangest damn thing ever. Anybody have any ideas as to what to check out next?

Did the idle RPM's drop any?
The idle vac value can drop off 2" between 900 & 700 RPM.

The idle didn't really drop any, the TPS was pretty close and the BAC didn't really need to be adjusted - so I figured to let it slide. Maybe my tach is off then and I just didn't notice because the other day I was at 85 mph and it was holding at 3600 so I think it might be off and maybe my idle would need to be adjusted.
