Additives?

Hey, I've been seeing a lot of these fuel additives and stuff, but it says in the owner's manual that none of them are recommended, but that was almost 20 years ago, are there any additives that are good for the FC? What brand and what types? Any additives at all that would help in the maintainence/performance on that car? Or any small tips you guys have to treat the car with a little extra care?

I dont know about everyone else, but I like to run some seafoam through my car every now and again. You can put the same stuff in the gas, oil or in a vac line to go strait to the motor. It hasn't hurt my car.....yet.

I tried using MMO, I don't know what happened there, hope it like work for a bit atleast. Also used RedLine.

There are plenty of discussions regarding Seafoam and MMO (Marverl Mystery Oil)
Check it out: MMO or SeaFoam

I don't put neither in my oil. Maybe for a newer engine is ok. not sure.

No, none. All additives are snake oil.

i used to put additives mmo/xylene....until i realized my wallets were always empty.....i premix now and everything seems to be fine.....just save ur money and spend it on a good injector cleaning service....then keep it clean by using fuel from national recongized stations...i prefer Sunco myself

a lot of people use xylene up here in Alaska since the premium is 90 octane. Personally ive never used it, and i dont use other stuff.

my *** dyno says with xylene the engine revs more freely, i guess it picks up better....but its not a life changing experience.....if ur not running super advanced timing theres almost no gains in running xylene at 10.50 a bottle at selected home improvement stores near you....
