Added a new ground and now I have hesitations....
Ok I added a ground to the boost sensor on my FC. I used 10 gauge wire with rosin core solder and a crimped ring connectors to the sensor's bracket. I taped it all up and started the car. It was find. Today I was driving to work and now I get hesitations above 4k rpms :-/ two days ago I had also set my TPS to 1 volt. I couldn't get my DMM to read ohms so I did it to 1v with the key to ON.
Any ideas? Could it be my secondaries?
Santiago
PS- I didn't search because I don't think it is the TPS or a vac leak since I know both are ok. I only have 6 or so vac lines anyway.

yeah I agree, the restrictor pellet in the pressure/boost sensor line if it is missing could cause that.
The restrictor is a small plastic pellet that is within an inch or so of where the stock vacuum line for the pressure sensor connects to the intake manifold.

Seems to be two seperate things. If the ground wire had something to do with your problem, it would have been evident right after the mod. Since the problem popped up a few days later, its likely that something else has changed. Try the pellet first.

its inside the factory line, you wouldn't see it unless you looked or knew it was there. (and a nother good reason not to swap out the factory lines with "upgraded" show silicon lines.
Its possible since you upgraded the stock wire/ground that the sensor is now working correctly and without the restrictor pellet, it is reading too accurately.

Wait a sec........ OK OK OK
So on the rx-7. The boost sensor, the one that has a line that goes right under the intake manifold, has a pellet in the line.
How the F&%K do you find this inforation.

I found it by replacing my lines with silicon hosing, then taking my car to Don Marvels shop and telling him i had been having some problems. He looked at the silicon line on the pressure sensor and said "did you by chance put the plastic pill from the stock line into the new one?" And thats how I learned about the magical plastic restrictor

dont worry too much...I learned about the orifice (its actual name) by swapping to silicone lines and then wondering why my car ran like **** above 4k.
I got my orifice from Brian @ mazdaformance (one of the forum sponsors)
I was the first person to contact Brian about this orifice pill, so we had to figure out what it was. So if you get in touch with him...he'll know exactly what you need. Its very cheap by the way. It looks like a tic tac with a hole in it.

Ummm... santiago help me with the vaccum lines and also replace the boost sensor line with a silicon one and my car runs perfectly with some minor details like little idle sometimes but never hesitate and by the way we never saw that pellet thingy.

damn! MAX hmmm I think it is because your car don't have the new grounds I do on mine. This started when I put new grounding wires on the boost sensor and an extra one to the battery.
Anyways, what do I ask for at autozone? A ristrictor?
Santiago
PS- MAX your car's problem is that vacum spider that is broken. I unfortunately haven't been able to find my spare. :-/
