Eh.. just try a bottle of dry-gas in the tank
pick some up at a local station. Cured a fuel problem in a few of my cars over the years, sometimes water/condensation just messes stuff up.

I dont remember our gas ever not having ethanol here in southern/middle IL, but thats probably because we arent at that high of an elevation, and well, there is a lot of corn around here.

So.... I needed to refuel today. I put in the usual 16oz of premix and a 16oz bottle of heet. Filled it up with standard low 85 octane and all the crap that had been going on went away.
power was back, no surging, and the idle was back.
Think it was just **** gas.
