Add Coolant light question?

my add coolant light came on and then went off then came on then went off all in a matter of 3 minutes. it would stay on for about 10 seconds. Its night and my engine isnt cooled down enough for me to open the radiator and see if it is really low on coolant. What makes me think its the warning cluster is because my seatbelt light and buzzer comes on even though my seatbelts and everything are on, so im thinking maybe i have enough coolant but the light is fuct? I raced this 2000 Eclipse GT thats the only stressful thing ive done to the motor recently... oh yeah 88TII 70k on a rebuild. Anyone else had there coolant light do this? Any ideas?

Try checking to see if there is coolant in the overflow, that would be an easy indication on wether you are low on coolant or not. But is sounds kinda like you have an elecrical gremlin. Did all the lights on the cluster come on or just those three? If all the lights came on I could be the alternator, But your car would've most likely stalled.

If you coolant light comes on intermittently then you might have air in your coolant system. About the seat belt lights going on it is probably due to cold soldering connections in the dash.

Yeah I think that colder solder connections might be what the problem is with both lights because, I was messing with the lights in the dash...I had the whole warning unit out and dismantled so that might have ALOT to do with it...I don't think the seatbelt light started doing it until I had to screw something up(i was trying to fix my clock)and might have done something. I have a spare warning cluster im going to try tomorrow...
