add coolant light ?

I've been having a running problem and diagnosed it at the TPS.

Because:

1. when i leave the TPS plugged in then engine has limited rev and the idle is high (and the TPSs resistance is all over the place 8k Ω to 30MΩ

2. when i unplug the TPS the engine revs and idles properly

so i went out for a drive with the TPS unplugged got about a block or two away from my house and the add coolant light/buzzer came on then shut off so i drove back home pulled in to the garage and the light/buzzer came on again so i shut the car off popped the hood and looked at the reservoir and it was about 2-3 inches above the full line.

so

my question is did the light/buzzer come on because of the TPS being unplugged or is there some thing else that might be causing the light/buzzer to come on?

Check the water level at the fill cap instead of the resovoir, and bleed off any air that might be in the system. Intermittant buzzing is usually due to air pockets.

Other than that, I don't see any reason the TPS would switch on the coolant light/buzzer. Doubt they're related.

you need another TPS. low coolant buzzer is for low coolant. either you are low on coolant in the radiator or you have an air bubble trapped in the cooling system that is surfacing intermittently.

how the heck do you get rid of a coolant bubble? My light comes on all the damn time and my reservoir is full, and no smoking

make sure the sensor is connected properly, then check to see that youve properly bled the system according to the FSM.
