add coolant light

add coolant light

welp after driving it today also, my add coolant light keeps coming on/off!! my question is why is it doing this?
the overflow tank is full and i checked the radiator also, its full also!! the car has been in storage all winter and it didnt do this yesturday when i drove it!! suggestions please, i did a search also and cant really find my answer!!

oh the gauge reads normal, between 1/2 and 1/4.

you need to know how to fill it, race the motor 2k or 3k with the cap off this will suck the level down and at this point add and put the cap back on and let go of the throttle, if the lite comes back start looking for that leak

My coolant light kept going on and off too... just a couple of days ago. There was a radiator leak.

Most likely air bubbles in the cooling system are responsible for the intermittent coolant level warnings. You need to use the bleed valve on the side of the upper radiator hose connection to ensure all air is removed from the system while filling. Follow the procedure in the FSM or Haynes.

also may be caused by a crummy connection on the sensor wire.

maybe the thermostat is bad. happened to me to that the overheat light kept going on. changed the water pump, and the thermostat, and the problem went away.
