add coolant and buzzer fix?

It's been coming on lately, so I checked it out, and the heater hose going from the drivers side firewall to the bottom has a swell on the clamp, and the thermostat housing was cracked. I'm about to replace both of those get a new cap on there after I flush out my system. Is this a likely reason as to why the buzzer would come on sometimes (on and off)? I don't see any other leaks so that must be it right? Also:

1) Can I replace the hose directly or is there anything I have to move out the way? I figure I might be able to get under the car and cut the hose off, and wiggle the new one into it?

2) Is it fine if I just flush the system but don't refill? I'm SOL for jacks at the moment and want to get the the housing in, but wouldn't want to have to flush again when I change my heater hose.. or do you think I should just wait until I get the jacks in a week or two?

1: you can just replace the hose

2: You will need to refill the lost coolant any time you take off the heater hose and or thermostat. Air in the radiator (not in the overflow tank) will cause the buzzer to go off.
